Jacqueline Novogratz and her company Acumen aim to change the way we approach poverty abatement.
Jacqueline Novogratz began her career on Wall Street, where she worked on international development in Rwanda. Her experience there showed her that established charities sometimes create dependencies in impoverished communities, rather than helping them to succeed independently.
