On this episode we talk about Community – local and global.
With Kokomon Clotty, from the Attitudinal Healing Connection, Inc. we examine how to bring harmony to communities living in poverty. How can we foster a sense of togetherness if we live in a place where we and everyone around us is struggling – poor, feeling left out of the mainstream society?
We also look at how, over the past few decades, the definition of community has been changing. Community used to mean a group of people living in the same geographical area – sharing culture, lifestyle, or beliefs.
Today, because of global communication, and especially since the birth of the Internet, community can mean something far larger.
The digital age has built a global community, where we see our commonality with people everywhere in the world.
We can now meet, speak with, and reach out to help other people anywhere they live.
