Sex Trafficking – Stopping The World’s Oldest Oppression

In her brand-new Huffington Post article, our founder Anita Casalina revisits the troubling problem of sex trafficking. Research shows that the vast majority (89-95%) of women involved in the sex trade would leave the practice behind if given other viable options. Thankfully, people all over the world are working to give them those options, and to finally end this entrenched industry.

One remarkable group is Children of the Night, a California nonprofit that funds young people anywhere in the US seeking to flee situations in which they are being sexually exploited. Once relocated, they are also given access to educational and social services. Another is Sakshi, a unique group in India that provides needy girls with formal education, but also goes beyond that to give them the real-world advice and support they need to grow and prosper in challenging environments.
